Spider Solitaire
Spider Solitaire is a two-deck patience game in which you build full suits from King down to Ace. Choose the difficulty yourself: one suit is a good start for beginners, two suits require more planning and four suits are a real challenge. Undo lets you take back moves, and the game is saved in your browser, so you can close the page and continue later. Spider Solitaire here is free, needs no download or sign-up and works on phones and computers.
How to play
- The game uses 104 cards dealt into 10 columns; the rest form the stock.
- You can place a card on any card one rank higher, regardless of suit.
- Only a sequence of the same suit in descending order can be moved together.
- A full sequence from King to Ace in one suit is removed from the table.
- Clicking the stock deals one new card onto each column; all columns must contain at least one card.
- You win when all eight sequences have been completed.
Tips
- Build same-suit sequences whenever possible, mixed sequences are hard to move.
- Empty columns are very valuable, use them to sort cards before dealing from the stock.
- Turn over face-down cards before you deal a new row.
- Start with one suit to learn the game, then move on to two.
Frequently asked questions
How many suits should I choose?
One suit is the easiest and best for learning. Two suits is a moderate challenge, and four suits is the hardest version, which experienced players win far less often.
Is my game saved if I close the page?
Yes. The current game is saved in your browser, so when you return on the same device you can continue where you stopped.
Why can I not deal new cards?
In Spider Solitaire you can only deal from the stock when every column has at least one card. Fill the empty columns first.
